Editor’s Comment – Riding on the Crest of the Third Wave

By now you should have seen the newly designed and improved functionality of Knexus’ website. Thanks to those of you that have provided feedback on the website. The website is your tool to keep in touch with what is going in the Community, so any changes we make are designed to increase your value through Knexus Community. Please drop Lisa Barnett an email to let us know what you think of the website.

And the improvements to our website will not stop here. We are planning to make further changes to increase the functionality and make it easier for you to network with your peers. Look out for further changes to the portal in 2004!

Talking of 2004, it would appear that the eBusiness industry is now in its third wave of development. The first wave – known as the dot.com boom was the four to five years up until the year 2000. This was followed by the second wave which was the recriminiations of the past three years.

This third wave is now the realisation that the internet is working. It is delivering sales. It is delivering efficiency to organisations. And it is powering on. This is a very exciting concept for those people that have stuck out the ride.

Have a good break and we look forward to demonstrating the significant business value you can obtain through your membership in 2004.

Bringing the Brand Alive on the Web
Collaborative Session – 18 February 2004

Bringing web activities into traditional business life is a key challenge that many businesses are facing as they strive for a truly integrated multi-channel approach to customers.

A component of this integration is ensuring the brand is appropriately represented through the web and the internet is considered as an integral part of marketing campaigns and communications – not as a bolt-on or afterthought.

Knexus member Shell is tackling these same issues and is hosting a Knexus collaborative session to share its approach and experiences with the Knexus Community, as well as seeking the input and ideas of other members.

The session will cover four key areas:

  • Content
  • Change Management
  • Measurement
  • Visibility and Findability

Make sure you reserve your place to avoid any disappointment.
