DPEPS – EMAIL MONITORING: BUSINESS STANDARDS  back
1 May 2003

Knexus DPEPS is holding the first offline gathering of its community members on 1 May 2003, hosted by Prudential, a leading international financial services group with operations in the UK and Europe, Asia and the United States.

Topic
Our event topic is email monitoring, encapsulating the rights of a Company versus an individual, across international borders. The event is focused primarily on business issues such as company policy, culture & reputation. We plan to share insights on monitoring rights, available power to take action, appropriate action and exposure to culpability, all set against employees rights to privacy. The discussions will address both legal rights and ethical concerns.

Objectives
The objectives of the event are to help our members identify the critical email monitoring issues across peer group companies & how members are seeking resolution. We’re bringing together senior executives from a cross section of major international companies, to exchange experience, knowledge & ideas around some of the key challenges & potential solutions related to addressing email usage & abuse.

Format
Knexus has built a reputation over the past five years for providing a secure, exclusive and trusted environment for senior executives to meet and share issues and ideas. This event will take place behind closed doors, with participation restricted to executives from member companies (corporates only – no vendors, external lawyers, consultants or media).

The event format is designed to encourage member participation, and to drive high quality outputs for attendees. To achieve this, there will be a combination of a member case study presentation plus Q&A;, followed by workshop style activity where delegates will be asked to work in teams to tackle & resolve business scenarios dealing with email monitoring.

The proceedings will be professionally moderated & facilitated by members of the Knexus team.
