It’s all about Consistency!
Since last month’s Digibiz, members benefited from a full
day’s activity looking at online branding issues with Shell.
One major issue is inconsistent brand practice. We heard member
stories where local regions have used the global brand incorrectly.
One suggestion is to issue strict guidelines on the brand
strategy that must be followed whatever marketing vehicle
you are using.
Interestingly, Shell has its own internal brand Community
that has set up guidelines and policies of how Shell’s brand
can be used. The forum meets every quarter to discuss branding
issues. All campaigns have to be submitted to the Community
to get approval. This ensures the Shell brand is used in the
most consistent and effective way in its marketing material.
An output is available for our members on all the issues
discussed at the session, including a section on the use of
sub-brands and measurement & ROI content.

eLearning – Are you realising the Full Potential?
22 April 2004
With more corporates handing over the responsibility to their
employees to educate and develop themselves and gain the necessary
skills and qualifications to further their careers, eLearning
systems are becoming increasingly important.
Marsh has taken a leadership position in embracing eLearning,
having implemented a system in September 2002 and continues
to realise business benefits for its employees. Find out how
